Stillwater, Minn. – Robert Goodman, author of A History of Washington County: Gateway to Minnesota History, published by the Washington County Historical Society, will hold book signing events during November at the Stillwater Cub Foods Store, located at 1801 Market Drive.
The book signings will be held Friday, November 7 from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. and Saturday November 8th from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m.
The new Washington County history book, the first written in more than 30 years, brings county history up-to-date. The book gives about equal attention to pioneer and more contemporary life, and explains the county’s unique role as the gateway to Minnesota history. This book is arranged by generations, starting with the pre-settlement period and continuing on through the suburbanization of the present day. The book also includes the local histories of 33 Washington County communities.
A History of Washington County: Gateway to Minnesota History, written by Robert Goodman with additional material by Marc Hugunin, was published by the Washington County Historical Society and printed by the Anderberg-Lund Printing Company in St. Louis Park, Minnesota. The 280 page book is fully indexed and nicely illustrated.
