DESCRIPTION:Just over a century ago\, Charles Strite was employed at a local manufacturing plant. Fed up with burned toast in the cafeteria\, a great idea “popped” into his head\, and the Toastmaster automatic electric toaster was born! \nAbout the event: \n\nEnjoy a program about the history of toast and view our antique toaster collection.\nSample toast and toppings from local bakeries and markets\, and vote for your favorite to be named Toast of the Town.\nListen to Warden’s House Site Manager Heidi Heinze tell the history of the automatic pop-up toaster and its origins in Stillwater!\n\nToast Tasting begins at 6:00pm\nProgram begins at 6:30pm \nAdmission is free\, but donations are accepted.
