PART TWO of White Bear’s Notorious Gangsters! Presented by White Bear Lake Area Historical Society’s Executive Director Sara Hanson. The White Bear area was a haven for the 1920s and ‘30s era gangsters who wanted to get away from it all. Join us as we take a deeper dive into the stories of visitors such as Ma Barker and Alvin “Creepy” Karpis – the Bureau of Investigation’s only Public Enemy Number 1 to be taken alive and live to tell his side of the story.
