Getting Started in Genealogy with Amanda Lathrop

Getting Started in Genealogy will show you how to ask the right questions, find and evaluate sources, use tools such as DNA, and organize and share your findings. Amanda leads a one-hour introduction to genealogy full of stories, laughter, and fun with helpful tools to create a connection to your past. 

About your instructor

After nearly a decade of working as a production coordinator for Minnesota local production companies and producing shows for television networks like History Channel, Food Network and Travel Channel, Amanda Lathrop was driven to start her own production company, Lead Sheep Productions, LLC

After producing a family history video for her own family, she combined her genealogy hobby with her professional video business, giving her the opportunity to use her skills to help people capture, share, and preserve their own stories.
