The History of Logging Stamps & Patents by Donald McConkey

The Washington County Historical Society invites you to a presentation by Donald McConkey on the History of Logging Stamps & Patents on Wednesday, September 16, 2026 at 7:00pm. McConkey is currently a board members, historian, and manager for the Depot Museum at the Gordon-Wascott Historical Society in the supper St. Croix River Valley in Wisconsin. He has researched numerous logging camps from 1870 – 1920 and has contributed to five books. His presentation is a deep look into the creation and changes into the logging stamp, from King George in 1691 to current logging camps in Minnesota and Wisconsin.
